Skuld is reading a manga when she comes across an ad for angel-related merchandise. This makes her think of her own angel, Noble Scarlet, who is still locked away within her tiny egg. Skuld contemplates swallowing the Angel Egg, so that she can see Noble Scarlet once again, only to be stopped by Urd, who states Skuld does not have enough power to control an angel. The young goddess cries out how much she misses her angel, and that Urd would miss hers too if she was forced to be separated from it. Hearing this sends an emotional jolt through Urd, but she only walks off, stating that Skuld would not understand. Once she is alone, Skuld wonders to herself what Urd was doing with an Angel Egg that one time anyway (as seen in Chapter 80).

Outside the house, Urd approaches Belldandy, and asks what it was like for her when she first met her own angel, Holy Bell. Belldandy states that meeting her angel for the first time was like seeing a mirror, reflecting her innermost soul. Urd states that perhaps this is the very reason why encountering her angel for the first time was so terrifying for herself. Urd goes back to her room, and tries to call forth her angel, but nothing happens. Unknown to her, Skuld is watching. She concludes that Urd does not have an angel either, and comes up with a plan for revenge.

Later that day, Belldandy is in her room, reading the mystic stone Runes that can predict the future. Urd enters, and asks whose fortune she is reading. Much to Urd’s shock, it is hers. The Goddess becomes even more nervous when Belldandy begins drawing stones that bear the symbols for “challenges ahead”. It seems that Urd is to face a terrific challenge in the near future that will force her to come face-to-face with her true self.

At that same moment, Keiichi is sitting down to watch TV, only to discover all the inside circuitry has been removed. The same goes for his stereo as well. Knowing that Skuld is behind it, since she’s always tinkering with his electronics without him knowing, he goes to her room where he finds the young Goddess hard at work at a giant mechanical device that she has dubbed The Skuld Power Amp A-707. It is a device that will amplify her own power, giving her enough strength to control her angel, Noble Scarlet. Not wanting to get involved, Keiichi starts to walk off, but unknowingly sets his foot on the device’s switch, which turns it on. Instantly, Skuld’s magic powers are amplified, and a swirling mass of water (Skuld’s elemental power) begins to surround the two.

Belldandy and Urd hear the cries of Keiichi, and race into Skuld’s room. They are shocked to discover both their sister and Keiichi trapped within a powerful swirling wall of water. Keiichi tries to run through the magical wall, but it is so powerful and fast, the constantly swirling mass of water knocks him away. Belldandy summons her angel, Holy Bell, to create an opening in the wall with its wind magic, but even that is not strong enough to break through. She states that only a fire elemental spell, which is Urd’s signature element, can break through water. Belldandy asks Urd to summon her angel, yet Urd refuses, stating that it is impossible…

We learn that years ago, when Urd was a child, she used to question if it was true that she was the offspring of a God and a Demon. When the day came that Urd had to swallow her Angel Egg, and meet her angel for the first time, she was horrified to discover that the fact she was only a half goddess was true, and that it was reflected by her angel’s physical appearance. Urd screamed in terror at the sight of her angel, and said she never wanted to see it again. Since angels obey the word of their Goddesses, it disappeared, and Urd has not been able to summon it since. Belldandy, however, reminds her that angels obey the soul of a Goddess much more than their words. If Urd truly wants to see her angel once more, it will obey her summon.

Urd realizes she has been running from her true self all this time, and that she is ready to confront her inner self once more. She calls forth her angel, World of Elegance – a beautiful spirit who represents Urd’s half nature with the wings on its back, one white (God), one black (Demon). Calling upon the power of the angel, Urd is able to destroy the wall of water surrounding Keiichi and Skuld. As she holds her sister’s unconscious body in her arms, Urd silently hopes that Skuld will get to see Noble Scarlet again someday soon. But, before that happens, Urd plans to have plenty of chances to rub it in, and show off her angel’s powers to her jealous sister…
