Keiichi's lab experiment has failed, so he and Belldandy head to his locker to grab some things before he eats her lunch. In his locker, he discovers what appears to be a love letter. His attempt to keep Belldandy from learning what the letter contains is foiled when Urd appears in his locker and begins reading its contents out loud. She eggs Keiichi to meet the girl and Belldandy agrees to this, stating that it took a lot of courage to write such a letter.

Keiichi meets the girl whose name is Shiho. As Urd stated, the girl is very cute, but she's not interested in Keiichi romantically. It seems she's detected the presence of an "unhuman being" around him and wants to perform an exorcism. Urd decides that she's had enough of Keiichi's wimpy behavior and chastises Belldandy for allowing it. Belldandy isn't worried, so Shiho comes home with them. She sets up shop in Skuld's room. Skuld is troubled by this turn of events, but soon forgets it in her fear of evil spirits.

Shiho emerges in miko (priestess) gear and gets started by getting close to Keiichi and attempting to synchronize their breathing. As Belldandy walks past, the light fixture above them explodes. Figuring this is the evil spirits, Shiho places wards around the room and starts the exorcism. Instead, she summons a series of bizarre critters forcing Urd and Belldandy to remove the wards, returning the critters to where they came. Shiho thinks she banished the creatures and is very proud of herself.

Before she leaves, Shiho plants a kiss on Keiichi's cheek while Belldandy watches. Immediately every light fixture in the temple explodes as does the water faucet. Many other strange things start happening. Shiho sees this as a challenge to her by the evil spirits. Urd sees it for what it is - Belldandy's jealousy. Keiichi doesn't want to believe this of Belldandy, but Urd reminds him that Belldandy has feelings and that love isn't always a pretty thing. Shiho attempts to summon Kundali, protector of humans against evil. Instead, she summons Garm, the watchdog of the underworld. Garm is not amused at having been summoned for no reason and goes to attack Shiho. Belldandy defends her while Skuld and Urd attempt to undo Shiho's weird spell-program.

As Belldandy keeps the barrier up defending them against Garm, she sees that Shiho has fallen on top of Keiichi. Her jealousy causes her earring power seal to weaken and blasts Garm back. Urd sees this and casts a spell which causes Keiichi to cop a feel of Shiho's chest. The resulting blast from Belldandy causes Garm to vanish.

Belldandy tearfully apologizes to Keiichi for being so selfish causing Keiichi to apologize for taking her for granted. On top of that, Keiichi reaffirms his desire to be with together with her forever. Shiho sees Garm is gone and again assumes she banished the dog. However, she is unable to get anyone else to agree to an exorcism at school.
