While out with Belldandy as she brings down the laundry from the clothesline, Kodama senses something wrong. Her instincts are right as they are observed by a second mini-ninja who reflects on why Kodama must die for abandoning the ways of the shinobi. Despite being hidden, Belldandy spots her and says hello. Kodama sees that it is a oi-shinobi, a ninja pursuer, and launches an attack. She recognizes the oi-shinobi as Hikari, another ninja created by Mara. Before Mara gave them chibi*-human form, Hikari and Kodama had been rats who were also friends.

As Kodama chases and attacks Hikari, they create a lot of noise which causes Keiichi to lose it. Kodama chastens Keiichi for getting in the way, giving Hikari an opening. She stands on Keiichi's shoulder and holder her tiny sword to his nose, demanding Kodama surrender. Kodama doesn't care about Keiichi, but since harm to him would cause Belldandy distress, Kodama agrees. She drops an impossibly large number of weapons that had been hidden on her person, including body armor. Now defenseless, Hikari launches an attack Kodama, but the blades only hit a dummy. Kodama has a small knife pointed at Hikari but before she can make the kill, Belldandy comes in and puts a stop to it. Kodama bows to Belldandy as does Hikari who promises to leave the ninja clan and stay with them.

Kodama's ninja watch sets off a silent alarm causing her to leave in a hurry; Hikari follows after her wondering what is wrong. Keiichi asks Belldandy if she trusts the ninjas. Belldandy does, but wonders why her heart is giving off a warning alarm.

In Urd's room, the ninja's are watching a ninja program on TV. Since the TV is Urd's, she demands the use of it, but the ninja's won't budge. Deciding to take it to a vote, Urd splits into multiple chibi form to cast their vote for Urd's program. The ninja's use a Split Shadow Technique to create the illusion of multiple versions of themselves. The ninja's win the vote and Urd concedes, though she has a bad feeling about things. Skuld comes in to watch TV, but again the ninja's are there; Urd just shrugs her shoulders.

The ninja's share a meal while the goddesses confer on the situation. Urd and Belldandy suspect something is wrong and Skuld is just annoyed at having to miss her favorite TV show. Urd asks Belldandy what she will do if Keiichi gets hurt. She replies that she will protect him with her life if needed.

Meanwhile Hikari attempts to kill the sleeping Kodama but is unable to do so. Kodama gets up and the two talk about the situation they are in. Their conversation is interrupted by Senrigan, who's there to report on what's going on to Mara. She plays a clarinet and many mini ninjas appear from everywhere. Skuld screams and launches her tattoo attack which hits some of the ninjas. Urd wants to launch an Urd Bolt, but Belldandy stops him since it will hit Keiichi. For his part, Keiichi is being covered in mini ninjas as Kodama and Hikari attempt to defend him.

Keiichi is being smothered while Belldandy half-emerges from a mirror in his room. Vowing to defend him with her life, she begins to cast the most powerful purification spell there is. Urd is in the middle of preparing a lower-level thunder spell when she senses what Belldandy is up to. She knows that if Belldandy casts the Hama Mekkyaku Demon Destruction Spell, Bell might die. The spell knocks all of the ninja out and by the time Urd gets to Keiichi's room, she finds Belldandy asleep clutching a sleeping Keiichi in her arms.

The ninjas come to and Urd asks if they plan to continue the fight. The ninjas are bound by law to continue since no ninja can leave the clan. Urd points out that the entire clan is currently in the room, so all of the ninjas leave the clan and leave a note to inform Mara of this.
