The weird weather is troubling Megumi when Mara drops
from a storm cloud. It has taken her a long time to
recover from the punishment she took at the hands of
the Lord or Terror. Vowing to take down the three goddess
sisters, she spots Megumi and charges her, recognizing
her as Keiichi's sister. With Megumi's hands pinned
to a fence, she begins to scream "RAPE". Mara
chides her for this, telling her that it is uncalled
for since she is also a woman. She inspects Megumi and
decides to enter into a contract with her, signing it
by biting her on the neck.
At
Megumi's apartment, the 3rd Class Earth Spirit in the
form of a rat eats. Megumi walks in causing the Earth
Spirit to see that it isn't truly her. He reverts to
his human form and demands an answer. Megumi casually
knocks him across the room. Again he demands to know
who she really is, then sees the demon marks on Megumi's
forehead. Recognizing her as a Demon 1st Class, the
Earth Spirit finds himself on the receiving end of a
spell cast by Megumi. Now he is a stuffed, toy rat.
Later
at the Nekomi Tech campus, Megumi spies on Belldandy
and Keiichi. She pulls out a bottle and breaks the demon
seal, releasing the genie Senbei*. Senbei becomes happy
by making others unhappy. Megumi points out his first
target - Aoshima. Senbei does his thing and immediately
Aoshima slips on a banana peel. He turns his backward
fall into a flip and his foot lands in a large bucket.
Before he can escape it, he trips and falls, landing
on Tamiya. As a result, Tamiya gets ticked and delivers
a Tamiya Punch to Aoshima. Senbei asks if Megumi is
pleased. She is.
Megumi
then shows Senbei his true target - Keiichi. She calls
to Belldandy to talk to her in private. Belldandy doesn't
notice anything different about Megumi due to the double
shielding she has around her. After finding a place
alone, Megumi tells Belldandy that she is in love with
her, thinking it will throw Bell for a loop. Instead,
Belldandy tells Megumi that she loves her too which
throws her for a loop. Belldandy continues by stating
she loves everyone and Keiichi the best.
In
front of the Nekomi Tech Motor Club Clubhouse, Senbei
is observing Keiichi. Senbei does his thing as Keiichi
walks in on Sora Hasegawa, a female club member who
is in the middle of changing clothes. Both are surprised
to see the other and Sora's jump suit falls to the ground
as she collapses into Keiichi's arms. Megumi and Belldandy
walk in on this which pleases Megumi. She begins to
remark about how Keiichi mistreats women, causing both
Keiichi and Belldandy to loudly deny this. Unfortunately
Belldandy's denial is an insult to Keiichi. She tries
to correct this, but ends up insulting him again.
Aoshima
walks in upon this scene wondering what is going on.
He detects the smell of gas; the pilot light on the
stove had gone out. Keiichi opens the window and Sora
is grateful for being save, causing Senbei much pain.
Megumi figures out that Belldandy is the source of Keiichi's
good luck and decides to seal her power while the Earth
Spirit desperately attempts to reach Belldandy to warn
her of the danger.
Tamiya
and Otaki have a souped-up truck to do some test runs
in and Keiichi is the man to do the driving. Before
he goes, Belldandy gives him some tea with a floating
stalk in it which indicates good luck in Japan. As he
races down the track, Megumi blocks Belldandy's powers
while Senbei does his thing. Immediately something goes
wrong with the truck and it catches fire. Belldandy
casts a spell but nothing happens due to Megumi's interference.
The Earth Spirit launches himself at Megumi, then informs
Belldandy that Mara has possessed Megumi. Megumi denies
this, but when Belldandy offers her some of the lucky
tea, Mara is forced out of her.
Now
that her powers have been released, Belldandy not only
puts out the truck fire, but has other effects on water
throughout the city. Keiichi embraces her while Megumi
attempts to figure out where she is and what happened.
She writes it off as sleepwalking, then sees the rat
stuffed animal. Thinking it cute, she picks it up and
returns it home with her.

According to the Nekomi Kodai
website, the original Japanese refers to Senbei as a
demon rather than a genie.
