Now that more than a month has passed since the Lord of Terror incident, things have returned to normal. Keiichi comes home with a bag of ice cream. He finds Belldandy in a deep sleep normally reserved for when she uses too much power. Figuring she'll wake up soon, he briefly ponders kissing her before Skuld wanders into the room in a daze. She starts eating the ice cream without noticing him. Seeing that something is wrong, Keiichi seeks out Urd only to find her plastered on Sake.

It takes three days for Belldandy to awaken. When she does, she explains that with Yggdrasil being out of commission, their normal way of gaining energy in unavailable. As a result, the goddesses have to use alternative sources - sleeping for Belldandy, Sake for Urd, and Ice Cream for Skuld. She says nothing else as she falls back to sleep.

The next day, Skuld and Urd are not happy at having to consume cheap alcohol and ice cream but do it anyway since Keiichi has gone to school. At Nekomi Tech, Keiichi confers with chibi-Belldandy who's hiding in the hood collar of his jacket. They pass a fortune teller seated at a table. She attempts to con Keiichi when the Almighty One possesses her. He relays a message to Keiichi to seek out moon rocks as a source of power. Keiichi leaves wondering if it is true which Belldandy confirms.

Returning home, they discover that Urd and Skuld have changed; Urd is getting younger and Skuld is getting older. Since the emblem programs on their foreheads are not working properly, this trend will continue unless they find some moon rocks to recharge their power and restore them to normal. Unfortunately there are no moon rocks just lying around. Belldandy comments that if she weren't in a similar condition (stuck in chibi form to conserve power), she could make moon rocks. This gives Keiichi an idea and he heads to the Nekomi Tech campus with Skuld while Belldandy hides in his hood.

Using a campus lab that contains a multi-ton hydraulic press, Keiichi combines the compounds used in the makeup of the moon and mixes them. He turns on the press to leave it overnight. The following morning, they return to the lab and remove the thick moon disc from the press. Skuld takes it and is immediately re-energized. As a result of being restored to full power, she returns to her proper size.

Back at the temple, Urd has reverted to the form of a young child.
