It becomes apparent that the goddesses will never be able to completely wipe out the bugs on Earth while the Yggdrasil system is infested with them. The only solution is for all three to return to the heavens. Urd likes it on Earth and doesn't want to leave. She asks Belldandy what she plans to do. Bell feels there are only two choices for her - stay on Earth with Keiichi and spend all of her time protecting him from the bugs or return to the heavens. Before she can ponder further, Keiichi finds himself magnetized and attracting all things metal to himself. The goddesses are forced to hunt down the offending bugs and destroy them.

This event causes Belldandy to make up her mind. She tells Keiichi she is returning home but that she will return. Urd feels that as long as it was Bell's choice to do so, it should be OK but that they most likely won't get to return to Earth for a while. The three goddesses leave - Bell via a mirror, Urd through the TV, and Skuld through the bath filled with hot water. Skuld finds herself soaked and remaining in Keiichi's tub while Belldandy re-emerges from the bathroom mirror. Neither of them can leave! They can't find Urd until Keiichi decides to try turning on the TV. There she sits, unable to escape.

Without further ado, Skuld begins to cannibalize parts from electronic equipment to build a new device. While she works, Keiichi confesses to Belldandy that he is glad she couldn't leave. Belldandy also confesses that she too is happy that she couldn't leave. Skuld has finished her invention which she names Mister Bug-Zapper. After lovingly admiring her handiwork, she turns it on but nothing happens. The cause of this is Keiichi who also has a singularity within him from living with the goddesses for so long.

To get past this problem and be rid of the bugs, Skuld designs another, larger machine she calls Super Energy Infusion Machine Mark One. She turns it on, but there's not enough electricity in the house to power it. Belldandy decides to stop re-energizing herself (which is how she retains her form on Earth) to help ease the bug problem while Skuld gets Urd to cast a spell (from within the TV) to power the Super Energy Infusion Machine. Once that starts operating, Mister Bug-Zapper starts working and the bug problem is resolved.
