While Keiichi is busy setting up good luck charms around
the temple grounds, Urd decides to work on his relationship
with Belldandy. She lets Bell know about the Japanese
custom where a girl makes chocolate for the man she
loves (or likes) and gives it to him on Valentine's
Day. Bell feels bad that she didn't know about this
custom and thus didn't give Keiichi chocolate the previous
year, so off she goes to make it up to him.
These
events are recorded by a demonized video camera which
returns to Mara's lair in Sayoko's attic to report the
news. She sees the good luck charms Keiichi is planting
and thus can avoid them all. She then goes to check
on her booster demons as she readies her next plan to
deal with the goddesses.
Meanwhile,
Urd has brewed another love potion while Belldandy lovingly
makes a large heart-shaped chocolate for Keiichi. Urd
makes an identical chocolate filled with the love potion.
She imitates Keiichi's voice to get Bell to leave while
she switches chocolates. The demon-camera sees Belldandy
leave and reports this to Mara. She also has an identical
chocolate to Belldandy's and has one of her booster
demons go in to switch it with the one inside. Her chocolate
would turn Keiichi evil should he eat it since he is
good.
When
Keiichi denies having called Belldandy, she suspects
Urd is up to something. She tricks Urd into confessing,
so Urd reluctantly agrees to return Bell's chocolate.
In exchange, Bell gives Urd the chocolate Mara had switched,
while the booster demon gives Mara the chocolate Urd
had switched. Mara crushes the Urd-chocolate and the
booster demons begin to greedily consume it. They stop
eating when Mara has them form the Mara Pyramid Power
Boost and sits within it.
Belldandy
gives him her chocolate and Urd offers hers as well.
He begins eating Bell's chocolate when Mara starts laughing
and appears inside the temple surrounded by the booster
demons in their pyramid formation. Belldandy launches
an attack spell at Mara, but within the pyramid, Mara
is well protected. She announces that Keiichi is poisoned,
yet Keiichi seems normal. Since the poison should have
kicked in immediately, Mara begins to demand an answer
from the booster demons. Due to Urd's love potion in
the chocolate they consumed, they have only one thought
on the brain - get the chocolate. Urd is holding Mara's
chocolate, so the booster demons are all over her to
get it. She throws it and them away from her, and the
booster demons immediately consume Mara's chocolate.
Mara
is ticked that a goddess would spike a chocolate the
same way she did. Before she can react further, Mara's
poison takes over the booster demons. Since they were
evil, the poison causes them to all turn good and worship
Belldandy. They decide to atone for their sins by attacking
Mara. She is not amused and counter attacks. Belldandy
launches an attack of her own. Mara isn't concerned
about Bell's attack until the booster demons form a
hyper star boost. Belldandy's energy ball attack passes
through the hyper star and literally knocks Mara through
the roof and off through the sky. Urd restores the expended
booster demons and combines them into a large, single
demon critter called Sudaru.
