Urd is bored and tries to get Keiichi to go outside to have some fun. She steals his homework and splits herself into multiple chibi* form. Belldandy soon puts a stop to it, but concedes that Urd has a point and gets Keiichi to take her out. Meanwhile, Mara has been watching these events at Sayoko's house over a small TV. She has a crystal ball that contains a balance inside - an indicator of the balance of Keiichi's heart. Mara promises that Keiichi can be Sayoko's, but Sayoko isn't interested in Keiichi except as a tool to rid herself of Belldandy.

Mara then goes out and from an electric pole, watches the happy couple. As Keiichi goes off to buy them sodas, Belldandy senses Mara's presence. Mara casts a spell which causes a large cargo truck to come speeding toward Keiichi. Belldandy casts a spell that knocks him out of the way, but the large pipes on the back of the truck tumble over the side and come crashing toward him. Belldandy casts another spell causing several polls to form a fence blocking the pipes. She starts to launch an attack on Mara, but she's used up too much power and falls asleep.

Keiichi grabs the sleeping Belldandy and races off with her on his back. He blames himself for Belldandy using all her power. Before he can race away with her on his bike, Mara appears in front of him, blaming him for causing Belldandy's condition. She then announces that Belldandy is her fiancé which Keiichi reacts to with great shock. He manages to get Belldandy home where Urd immediately begins brewing a recharge potion for her. When the potion is complete, she begins looking for the now-missing Keiichi. Mara launches an attack at Urd, but Urd manages to avoid it by splitting into her multiple chibi form. She recombines herself but Mara is prepared and launches another attack - a music attack.

After Mara leaves, a chibi-Urd climbs up on her larger, unconscious self, grateful to have been kept loose. Urd has earphones in her ears which are playing Austrian polkas. Since this kind of music always puts Urd immediately to sleep, chibi-Urd decides to go wake Belldandy up. As the balance in the crystal ball begins to slide, a demon spell-influenced Keiichi runs into Sayoko. She gives him the reasons he should switch to her while Mara continues to work her magic, until a restored Urd sneaks up on her.

Keiichi decides that maybe he should be with Sayoko when Belldandy walks up. Since he no longer needs her, she announces that she will have to return home but thanks him for a wonderful time on Earth. The thought of actually losing Belldandy is enough to break Mara's spell and shatter the crystal ball. Urd explains how it worked while Mara, wearing the earphones that had been on Urd, is dancing like mad. It seems that when Mara hears disco, she is unable to stop dancing.

Keiichi has one final question about Mara being Belldandy's fiancé sending Urd into fits of laughter. Belldandy explains that this is impossible since Mara is a woman!
