Sayoko awakens in her home to discover a strange person sleeping in her bed - Mara. Sayoko had been drunk the night before but can't remember bringing anyone home. As she attempts to recall the things she did, she recalls she purchased a CD. Hearing the word "CD", Mara awakens and is in a foul mood.

At the Morisato residence, Belldandy is explaining how Mara needs both the "God's CD" and the "Demon's CD" in order to return home. Belldandy can't allow Mara to have the "God's CD" since that is her trump card. Keiichi isn't happy about Mara still being on Earth, so Urd suggests that they seal her up using the "God's CD". Belldandy is against this since it will mean that Mara will be sealed for 500 years. However, Belldandy knows that eventually Mara will return for the CD.

Sayoko is throwing things at Mara because she doesn't know this stranger. Mara introduces herself properly stating that Sayoko summoned her because of her desire to be rid of Belldandy. Hearing Belldandy's name enrages Sayoko to such a degree that it even surprised Mara. However, the two soon come to an agreement on ridding the world of Belldandy.

Belldandy seals up the "God's CD" so she won't be tempted to use it. Keiichi wonders if this is a good idea while Urd tries to assure him that she'll take care of things. She's brewing up some creature, so Keiichi dumps it all down the drain. Time passes as they wait for Mara's attack when Sayoko shows up. She claims to be stopping by for a visit but instead is looking for the "God's CD". Under Mara's direction, she finds the cookie box containing the CD, but once she touches the box, she can't let it go. The only way to release her is for Belldandy to remove the seal which she does. Mara immediately comes up through the floor and snatches the CD. She thinks she's free, but Belldandy brandishes the real "God's CD"; Urd had placed a regular CD in the "God's CD" case.

Mara refuses Belldandy's request to return home and uses the "Demon's CD" against Belldandy. Belldandy decides to allow herself to get sealed since the interaction of the two CD's will cause her to break free. Before this can happen, the creature Keiichi sent down the drain emerges from a sewage manhole and swallows the "Demon's CD". Mara is thwarted again.
