Sayoko Mishima is a sophomore at Nekomi Tech where she
holds the undisputed title of Queen of the Campus. However,
now that Belldandy has arrived on campus, she has pulled
support away from Sayoko and to herself. Sayoko sizes
Belldandy up and wonders what she sees in the boy she
is with. Sayoko then remembers who the boy is and decides
to go into action.
Belldandy
has made Keiichi an exquisite box lunch by hand which
she serves him. As Keiichi starts to eat, she is called
away to see Professor Kakuta. As soon as she is gone,
Sayoko comes along and speaks to Keiichi. He is stunned
by this as a year before, he’d asked Sayoko out
on a date to the museum. At that time, she rejected
him with a mild insult in front of some other guys.
Meanwhile,
Belldandy discovers that Kakuta did not summon her.
As she starts to return to Keiichi, she gets a feeling
that something bad is going on.
Sayoko
begins to work on Keiichi by pretending to be sorry
for what she said to him in the past. She continues
to try to convince Keiichi she is a new woman and gets
closer to him causing him to get flustered while she
becomes confident he’ll be putty in her hands.
Before she can go in for the kill, she gets soaked when
a guy on a balcony above dumps over a bucket full of
water. Keiichi assumes this must be the System Force
at work again.
Sayoko
decides to leave and asks Keiichi not to forget what
she said. She passes Belldandy who’s on her way
to rejoin Keiichi and causes Belldandy to suddenly pause.
Sayoko is thinking of how she’ll humiliate Belldandy,
but Belldandy picks up the strong notion that Sayoko
is in deep trouble. Since Sayoko is determined to do
anything to separate Belldandy and Keiichi, the System
Force will react with similar force.
Sayoko
meets up with her friend where she is confident that
Keiichi will be hers in three days, so much so that
she tells her friend she can bet on it. The friend decides
to take her up on it if Sayoko will put up her BMW as
the prize if she loses. Sayoko agrees which causes Belldandy
to feel the System Force’s power increase further.
In
her BMW, Sayoko comes on Belldandy and Keiichi and offers
Keiichi a ride but only Keiichi. As a result, the System
Force goes into effect and the car dies. Belldandy is
forced to erect an energy shield to protect Sayoko and
keep her from seriously getting injured by the System
Force. Sayoko won’t let a little car trouble stop
her from pursuing Keiichi, but every time she tries
to work on him, something bad happens to her. Finally,
she’s able to get an invitation to dinner to Keiichi
along with a map to her house. A huge gust of wind takes
the invitation/map from Keiichi where it flies to Belldandy’s
hand.
The
night of the dinner, a huge snow storm comes through
and dumps more than eighteen inches of snow. Sayoko
figures Keiichi won’t come and wonders about all
the food she prepared when the doorbell rings. There
stands Belldandy and Keiichi. He explains that he didn't
want to go out in this weather alone, but they wanted
to pay their respects to Sayoko and leave a cake with
her before returning home. Sayoko asks if they both
can stay since she has so much food. To herself, Sayoko
acknowledges Belldandy has won this battle and the snow
immediately stops.
