Today's
Fast Factoid - For now here's something I learned on
another forum, I wasn't clever enough to figure this
out myself. If you already know it, well and good. If
not you'll be amazed. Keiichi's short hand version of
his name, K-1, comes from combining the English letter
"K" with the Japanese for the number one "ichi".
Thus "K"-"ichi", get it? Pretty
clever that Keiichi
In
the scene in the movie where Belldandy and Celestine
watch Morgan and her friend go through the Judgement
Gate, we never learn who the friend was. He was possibly
early European, possibly Celtic, and had a harp or lute
on his back which might make him a bard. Well someone
with more time on their hands than me did some research
and came up with a name, Myyridin. That's an early Celtic
name for a mythological figure who later became Merlin,
who was supposed to have taught Morgan Le Fay her magic.
Myyridin (or Myrddin) started as a celtic bard who went
mad when he lost all his loved ones in a battle. He
ran off to live in the wilderness, could talk to animals,
and gained the gift of prophesy. That he could be the
guy with Morgan is possible. He does kinda fit the profile.
(This was found on the Mad Board Forum. My guess would
be the author found it on a new age/pagan site as those
are the sort of places that would connect Merlin (Myrridin)
as a former lover of Morgan. The Arthorian sites wouldn't
make a romantic connection between the two. That could
also be where the movie people got their idea for the
character.)
